A group of us went there for dinner and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. I saw reviews of Alba on Chronicle and decided to celebrate my birthday there. Next time you are feeling that cranky, call in sick! We don't get out often! More Unfortunately, this time we could not bring ourselves to do it. We have been tipping 50% during the pandemic as we empathize with servers during this difficult time. We tried to instill some holiday spirit but no luck. We could not get her to crack a smile, in fact, she seemed overall annoyed with us. Now the only disappointment, the waitress was a scrooge. Drinks are big and nice too not too much alcohol that you are seeing stars. The chicken was delicious, tasty with a side of kale. The salad was delicious with a big chunk of authentic feta. I highly recommend getting and order of truffle fries because they are addictive. For entrees I can recommend the Diavolo linguine and the grilled octopus. These were the best raw oysters I've ever had. I can recommend Crab cakes and raw oysters for an appetizer. I'm a big seafood lover and the raw bar/seafood options do not disappoint. The servers have always been attentive without rushing. ALBA and Zef cicchetti are part of the same restaurant so it pops up as both when you search it. It can be a bit confusing to find the main entrance as there is a big glass slide door that stays locked. ![]() nice retaurant and the other side has a bit more of a bar vibe. The two different dining areas in the interior have different vibes, one is simply a. The rooftop is very nice, with a full bar and tv, perfect for warm days. I have been here multiple times and sat in all the rooms and rooftop bar. Will definitely return to try out the other items on the menu and order another piece of the chocolate cake for dessert. For appetizers, we order the grilled octopus and calamari. We ordered the fish and chips and ribeye. Restaurant was full and she was attentive, friendly, polite and professional. Especially when she seemed to be the only one working. With this I would have rated 3 stars but because of the great service from our waitress and the food being excellent, I will rate 4 stars. The noise level was so loud you could not talk to each other in your party let alone place your order comprehensively. Had to bring up the menu on our phones from their website to actually read. Not to mention the wording on the menu was very small. Can’t read the menu with the poor lighting. The Fat Cat is opened for lunch and dinner daily. It is a great place to go after a long day at work to unwind for a drink and have appetizer  or a full meal.  They do have a small kids menu but it is not geared towards families. The menu has 7 types of mac and cheese on it! From Lobster mac and cheese to steak mac you will not go wrong in ordering!  You can get large sandwiches for under $10 that feel like meal,  Their hand cut fries are out of this world.  And if you are looking for an appetizer to share try the fried pickles with their zesty dipping sauce. If you are looking for a place to eat out this weekend, then check out the Fat Cat Restaurant in Quincy Square. The building that the restaurant is located  is deep with Quincy tradition, 24 Chestnut Street was the first market in the City of Presidents., The Fat Cat has been transformed into an engaging, warm, industrial style with indoor brick walls in the  dining room.
